Our kits show great potential. Some will be show stoppers that could start a new line at your rabbitry, like Socks (by his dam's awards).

What does PET, BROOD, and SHOW mean?
PET - young bunnies that have obvious markings that disqualify for showing. Or a retired brood doe that shouldn't have any more litters.
BROOD/BREEDING - rabbit with great promise for a show rabbit breeding program. There are no known undesirable genetic traits in the line. Some can't be shown due to an imperfection due to an injury, like a freckle of color on the lip or nose or a missing toenail. Pedigree (& any registration papers) are included in the price.
SHOW: No obvious marking disqualifications. If they are older than 4 months, we have probably shown them. Alternatively, we occasionally "retire" a show rabbit to make room for their offspring. They still have good show time left! The bucks especially continue to show well & make great herd bucks.
Pedigree (& any registration/grand champion certificates) are included in the price.

SALE RABBITS
Please, remember that a rabbit isn't a furry toy. If you give a rabbit as a gift, the person who's recieving the rabbit should prepared for a 6 to 8-year commitment. We love all of our rabbits, and we take ownership seriously, so we have a clear sales policy.
Please, plan to properly house & feed your rabbit. And plan to find a veterinarian for annual check ups and vaccinations for RHDV-2. We are happy to consult about your set-up. We send starter feed and grass hay with every rabbit to get them off to a great start. Rabbits have delicate digestive tracts. They require fresh pellets and Timothy hay. They won't do well on lettuce or other leafy greens, surprisingly!
We love to offer advice. It's part of the fun of 4-H. Contact us any time.
Which rabbit suits me?
For show rabbits: Look at markings, type and great health. Strive for a high rise & full hindquarters with round heads, even markings, wide blazes & round cheeks. Look at the underside for evenness of markings. For pets: Look for great temperament & curiosity. Fearful rabbits don't like to be held; they aren't good pets. For hoppers: Look for energy & curiosity. Choose the kit that won't stay still! Bucks tend to be more adventurous than does at hopping events. |
You may wonder if our rabbits mind being flipped or if we were hurting them. Not to worry, we train our rabbits to allow us to flip them. We don't hold them tightly by ears or neck. When relaxed & supported correctly, they rest in the position. They're accustomed to it for showmanship, health checks, and nail trimming.
